After picking up spices and shortbreads the other day, I decided to wander over to the lesser trod side of Platte Street. To my delight, I discovered Tomte, a sweet little shop vending all things handmade. Run by creatively, professionally and matrimonially collaborative duo, Brett and Crystal, Tomte is a veritable hodgepodge of craft wares  including felt coasters, carved wood kitchen utensils, repurposed car part accessories and charming hand-printed greeting cards. I invite anyone finding themselves on the common side of Platte to take a few meter stroll and make a new discovery.
